Photographing Hawaii weddings includes many aspects of your day, especially when you hire a wedding photographer to for all day coverage. Asking a group of people to pose in front of the camera and act happy on demand isn’t always as easy as it looks.

Her vision, she told me, was in a park with lots of greenery and in downtown Honolulu to have the contrast of nature and urban living. My suggestion was to head over to Chinatown where on a Saturday, is pretty quiet since it’s mostly a Monday – Friday hub. So with my trusty assistant Kelli to watch over traffic, we head to the middle of the road for this image.

You should be dancing, yeah…dancing, yeah!!! It’s so much fun to watch the kids dance but, oh yeah, I’m supposed to be photographing them! After Sarah + Andrew’s formal program was over the dance floor opened up and the Hale Koa was never the same.

Being the curious girl that I am, I went ahead and googled “Romans Sharing Cake”…and what popped up on browser was super interesting and sparked my interest in where wedding traditions came from.
