I love traveling to neighbor islands. I love it even more to capture the memories of a couple honeymooning. Hawai’i is a top destination for couples newly married because of our fabulous tropical weather and rich history, makes it a perfect place to let your hair down and relax. Jeannemarie Photo specializes in Hawaii weddings and Hawaii destination weddings but, we also get many requests for couples to capture part of their Hawaiian honeymoon. I met up with Steph and Kevin on just such occasion recently on Kauai.  Called “The Garden Isle” Kauai is known for it’s intoxicating mountaintops, dramatic cliffs and beautiful beaches makes it a perfect place for romance, adventure or just relaxing at the beach. Take in Waimea Canyon, sail or hike Napali coast or walk the beautiful Hanalei Bay.

I met up with K+S over in Poipu area where they were staying and headed out to several locations. One of my favorites is Ship wreck cliff over by the famed Hyatt resort. I love it when I can capture a little adventure in a session but remembering safety first. I always ask my couples if they’re comfortable doing something they may not normally do (I can be very charming no, really). I asked them to walk up the path, get as close to the edge as they were comfortable doing so. With modern technology for direction, we were able to capture this epic image. Enjoy.
