Remember to focus on self-care / pampering practices in the midst of the planning chaos.

Go ahead and get that Manicure and Pedicure before your wedding day! If you know me, I’m all about the best gift is taking care of one self. While you’re taking care of all the big and little details for your day, say which flowers and colors do you want and will they come out the way you envision them or picking out your bridesmaids dresses, make sure that you don’t run out of time out for some selfcare. As busy as you might be as the bride-to-be, it’s really important to take some down time and focus on YOU!

Be Photo Ready

Your wedding images will last a lifetime and you want to make sure you look polished from head to toe. A couple of weeks before your big day make sure you schedule an appointment for a manicure, pedicure, waxing, and facial. Know that this isn’t the time to experiment with waxing and skin care routines. Be sure to test these waters way in advance.

For example, my regular stylist wasn’t available so I had my eyebrows done by a new shaper right before my best friend’s wedding. She took off way too much of my brow and I felt completely naked and had to pencil them back in a little. At least they grew back!

Planning your Manicure and Pedicure Spa Treatments

Plan your beauty treatments strategically before your wedding day. Since everyone’s skin reacts differently, it’s important to schedule any final waxing about a week to 10 days before your wedding. Red, blotchy skin is a big bummer and if you choose to have your legs and bikini waxed, you don’t want a bumpy bikini line for your honeymoon either.

Getting a facial is another fabulous way to pamper yourself and have your skin in top-notch shape for your big day. Again, don’t get one right before your wedding just in case you have a reaction to it. If anything, have your day of pampering a week before your wedding day…even try to get your partner to have one too and make a spa day out of it!

With Gel Manicures are the norm now, they’ll last throughout your wedding week event. Even if you don’t normally get manicures and pedicures, this is one time when you’re going to be happy that you spent the time to get a mani-pedi. You can keep the style neutral and clean which will look great in photos. Especially if you’re wearing open-toe shoes for your wedding, you’ll really want your feet to look polished and fabulous! If getting your nails done is not part of your usual routine and going to a salon makes you nervous, make a party of it and invite your bridesmaids or partner to enjoy an afternoon of pampering.

Some salons will allow you to BYOB so you can make an afternoon of it just be sure to take an Uber if you do!

Many nail salons also offer waxing, so go ahead and clean up the shape your brows, get the legs waxed, or even get a bikini wax. If you’ve never had your brows done before, I recommend going to an expert shaper three to six months out to be sure you like them. If you didn’t read above, learn from my mistake!

I love a neutral nail look it’ll enhance your rings! Read about the tinted nail mani on Vogue here

In Conclusion: It’s always a great idea to pamper yourself however you like. For your wedding it can be extra special by including your partner or tribe to go along with you! Enjoy!
