Everyone wants their Hawaii wedding day to be perfect. From big, like the venue and decorations, to the small, like invitations, every detail counts. You want to highlight the excitement and beauty of the moment in every piece of your wedding no matter what it is. For this reason it is important to discuss with your photographer the details of wedding you want photographed.

On your big day, all you want to focus on is getting ready and feeling rested and relaxed. That’s where I come in. To me, it is important that we meet before the wedding day so we can discuss what details you would like captured on the big day. Sometimes this may include photos of your dress and shoes set aside to the wedding rings or perhaps an empty shot of the reception room. This is also the time that you can tell me what special requests you may have, like photographing certain family members or specific times during your wedding.

Discussing what you would like captured on the wedding day is important, as it helps me build a timeline for the day as your wedding photographer. Equally as important are small things you can do to ensure that everything flows seamlessly. Some examples include asking your bridesmaids to minimize the stuff they bring to lessen clutter as you are preparing. As a Hawaii wedding photographer, I often find my couples choosing Waikiki hotels such as the Halekulani and the Royal Hawaiian. For those who are holding their weddings at hotels, I find that placing the rooms of the bride and groom on the same floor can give the photographer more time to work with each group and ensure the desired photographs are taken.

Weddings are happy events, and by preparing for them they can be equally stress free. As your Hawaii wedding photographer, I will be there to capture every moment so that the photographs can tell your story.
