A nod to the French Quarter

Its sprawling gardens and elegant architecture provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration that transcended time.

Teaming up with Britt Jones from Britt Jones Co. The inspiration behind this captivating affair was to curate an unforgettable experience, evoking the romanticism and colors found in the heart of the French Quarter. Imagine a tapestry of colors adorning the lush gardens—a testament to the vivid beauty of the season and the heartfelt love.

The allure of the William Aiken House brings forth a timeless, classic charm that makes this a perfect wedding venue for your big day. You’re immediately swept back in time along with a sense of elegance of the French inspired rooms along leading out to the outdoor garden areas.

From Britt: The table top was curated to offer a nod to the spring season while keeping the French garden wedding feel throughout the design. Mixing floral textures, fresh fruits and veggies, it also featured little ceramic birds to evoke the spring season and its lively energy. Britt says, “I would recommend to never be afraid of colour or patterns. Although it can feel scary to get out of your comfort zone, that exact thing you are uncomfortable could be just the ingredient to take the design to the next level”

Kate from Kate Asire Flowers brought all the textures and colors together in her creations. Striving for a dreamy yet, colourful palette of pinks, our focus was to use more dainty, feminine blooms like Sweet pea, Hellebore and, garden roses. Featuring three dresses from Delana Muse and Anne Barge, I absolutely loved all three and wanted to feature them all. They all had a wonderful flow to them and romance.

With impending rain on the horizon we made the decision to set up both inside and out to show how a possible rain back up could look like. I’ll admit, I love both but think the indoor set up shows off the intimacy of the dining experience.
