A Dreamy Waterfront Wedding in the Heart of Charleston, SC
Table of Contents
Nestled along the scenic Ashley River, Lowndes Grove Estate stands as a beacon of Southern charm and elegance. This historic waterfront Charleston wedding venue, with its grand oak-lined pathways and meticulously manicured gardens, offers an idyllic setting for couples envisioning a romantic and timeless wedding
Bella and Alex’s wedding was a testament to this venue’s enchanting allure. Bella’s strapless sweetheart gown, adorned with layers of ethereal tulle, perfectly complemented the estate’s classic architecture. Her vibrant, tropical-inspired bouquet added a burst of color, symbolizing the couple’s lively spirit. Alex’s choice of a white dinner jacket exuded sophistication.
With a quick, spur of the moment boudoir session captured Bella’s radiant beauty, with soft natural light filtering through the estate’s grand windows, highlighting her delicate features and the intricate details of her veil.

We chose to do a quick Boudoir session with Bella wrapped in her Saint Bridal Couture veil. Taking a few minutes to have these images will make a great gift for your partner too.

A Fashion Forward Look For our Bride
Bella’s Strapless sweetheart cut top with layers upon layers of tulle, her dress created the soft romantic elegance. It allowed for her vibrant of her tropical jungle inspired bouquet to shine though without taking away from her glowing look. Wild Ivory Beauty elevated her look with a glowing, natural look that emphasized the her striking blue eyes and her fabulous hair style. Alex wears a classic tuxedo with a white dinner jacket to enhance the romantic elegant vibe for the day.

A Vibrant Tropical Jungle Vibe
For the reception, Hill and Co Creative team was inspired to create a vibrant palette of tropical colors and patterns. Using the yellow room in the front of Lowndes Grove, made for the perfect spot for this intimate wedding. Every detail was well thought out to fit the theme. From the tortoise shell tumblers, bamboo candlesticks and perhaps you’ll find a tiger roaming the tablescape, my favorite is the bespoke linen that brings the look all together. Intertwined are the florals from florist Stephanie Gibbs Events who expertly designed with exotic florals in vibrant pinks, magentas with pops of oranges and green.

A Second Party Look for Bella
Later in the day the Bella changed into a chic bridal mini dress with floral appliques and an oversized statement bow which also still matched her Dolce Vita Shoes.

Alex and Bella made their exit with guests dressed in all white with biodegradable hydrangea petals.
