Even though I’ve been photographing Hawaii Weddings for over seven years now, I still get a little nervous when I hear about a larger wedding party. I mean think about it… 20 people in a wedding party?!? OMG!!! That’s a whole lot of people to wrangle in for some photographs! Such was the case with Lisa + Kevin’s Wedding. It was a gorgeous day over at the Ihilani Resort in Ko’Olina and Lisa had three people in charge of hair and Make-up for all her ladies. She had a late afternoon ceremony and also had wanted to have some images taken of her bridal party at sunset. The challenge was timing. The grand entrance was to be just before the sun went down meaning getting 22 people out of the reception, down to the beach before we lose the light. I’ll be honest… I was nervous!!! In the end we communicate to all the people in the party and as soon as the entrance was made, the food was blessed, we headed down to the beach. There were other people down there and we had to find a spot as to not interfere AND fit 22 people into the frame. Think. Think, Think!!! Fast! OK I have it in my head… Quickly I got everyone into position and with one light SNAP!
