I photograph many Destination weddings here in Honolulu. I mean come on, Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on Earth to be. So, to me, it’s not surprising that Hawaii is one of the top destinations to get married. Most people choose to do so here right on Oahu since Oahu is known as the “Gathering Place”. It’s the most populated of the Hawaiian island chain and usually the easiest to travel to. Brandi contacted me from Australia and we stared conversing right away through email.
She was originally from Canada and Daniel, a native Aussie so families were traveling from both ends of the globe. We finally met up IRL a few days before the wedding when she and Daniel arrived with their families and we hit it off straight away… They had a intimate wedding held at a private estate right in Hawaii Kai (not too far from where I live). The festivities were filled joy and Aloha with a traditional ceremony performed by my great friend Kalona. And we wish them well for a happy life.
