A Halekulani Wedding means elegance without even having to do anything. A luxury hotel situated on the beach of the famed Waikiki, it’s a perfect backdrop for your wedding! Libby + Adam’s Halekulani wedding was intimate with just over 50 guests traveling in from Australia, the Hau Terrace was just the perfect fit for them. Diana from Oahu Weddings did a smash-up job of holding it all together for us as she’s organized and a fabulous communicator.
When we arrived to her room at the Halekulani Hotel for getting ready portion of our day, we found a little surprise. Libby’s mother, Jan brought with her Libby’s baby bonnet (all the way from Australia!) and decided that this would be used to carry the rings in! Jan mentioned that a friend of hers (who was attending the wedding) gave it to Libby when she was born and she had wanted to use it for something meaningful.
We just adored Libby’s elegant yet simply lacy wedding dress!
Leslie Fair created this fabulous up-do for Libby. It was perfect!
We couldn’t get over Libby’s engagement ring!!!
As we were documenting our bride getting ready she also mentioned that she was to wear her grandmother’s pearls and chose to wear them around her wrist (which we just LOVED this idea). Her wedding gown was also simple and elegant floor length lace fitted with capped sleeve. It was decided since Libby and Adam didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, that we would surprise her father instead, I’m a softy when it comes to the tender moments between father and daughter…
A simple yet elegant bouquets of white Orchids and baby’s breath.
We met up with Adam down by the Hau Terrace putting on the finishing touches of his suit. I’m a watch nut and I couldn’t get over his Tag Heuer cuff links! they were suburb! And baby Eli was just to cute for words… we were a tad worried a he got sick upon his arrival to Hawaii but hung in there like a champ!!!
The ceremony was held at the Halekulani Hotel on the famed Hau Terrace. It was simple and elegant appointed with Hydrangeas lining the isle. Kahu Bruce, one of Hawaii’s best, performed a Hawaiian ceremony making it all official.

Afterwards, we dashed off to catch the famous Hawaiian sunset on the beach of Waikiki and then back to the Halekulani Hau Terrace to party the night away. Each place setting was finished off with a whit Orchid and special printed M&M’s matching the colors of their day. The evening was topped off with toasts from both fathers and uncle, cake cutting and of course they danced the night away!
