When Brittney had mentioned that she was having her Hawaii wedding up on the North Shore of Oahu at Dillingham Ranch, I just was hoping that she’d book me (which she did 😉 ). If you’ve been reading my blog regularly, you know how much I LOVE it up there!!! The ranch itself is available for weddings and other special events and you can check out their website here and check out our location scouting post here.
Back to Brittney + Spencer…. It was an amazing Hawaiian day and when I arrived, everyone was still buzzing along the property prepping the ceremony and reception areas. Hydrangea’s were the main flower of choice in white and blue (periwinkle to be exact). She had chosen a shabby chic theme with blackboard signs, burlap accents with one-of-a-kind table clothes and napkins and a collection of tea pots used as vases for table settings. It lived up to its name of chic for sure.
Signage throughout the property guided guests of the time line, table settings, and my favorite… “Don’t be Blinded buy Our Love” which guests were invited to take a pair of sunglasses since the ceremony was right at 1PM.
The ceremony took place right in front of the lodge. Making it easy for people to get around and for Brittney to stay cool in her room off to the right. We then went to the back of the houses for the reception which was under a big tent.
The Ranch has so many amazing areas in which to photograph. We took advantage of the huge tree that was just beyond the ceremony site and the King Palm Trees column behind the house.
There are two “houses” on site for use. Spencer got ready in one and Brittney in the other. They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony but it was super easy to keep them apart even thought they were so close. Spencer wore a dark gray day jacket and his boutonniere matched the theme for the day.
Brittney wore a Vera Wang dress from the “white” collection. A beautiful strapless gown with wheat embroidered details and a simple tie looked stunning on her statuesque physique.
This wedding was also featured in Hawaii Bride + Groom a few months ago for its fabulous Shabby Chic theme and colors and we’re proud to have been chose for it.
