A FEW OF OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHOOTING WEDDINGS AT The Bradford in North Carolina

FAQ

Yes, The Bradford House in New Hill, NC, offers getting-ready suites for both the bride and groom, as well as additional spaces for the wedding party. They provide two dedicated suites for the bridal party and groom's party. The Bradford's spaces are designed to be spacious and picturesque, with plenty of natural light for photos.

4:00PM is the recommended ceremony time, especially in winter or for couples who want to take advantage of sunset photos. This time is popular because it provides a good balance between the hottest part of the day and allows for a sunset photo opportunity.

I always err on the side of caution and take them right after the ceremony at that site. Otherwise, you can do them in the front of the house, in the terrace or even in one of the ballrooms.

Typically a first look should take place at least two hours before your ceremony. Sure it seems like a big gap but, know that you can get all your portraits in along with bridal party and some family too. Many of my couples are opting to read their vows privately and this too takes a few extra minutes. This timeline also allows for you to be hidden before your guests arrive and freshen up for your ceremony,

Yes, The Bradford House allows sparkler exits, but, it's always a good idea to confirm the specific rules and guidelines with them directly, especially if you plan to have a large number of guests participating. I also recommend using the long sparklers as they last long enough for everyone to participate and makes for a fabulous photo op.

If you plan on opting for a first look you can get most of you bridal portraits done before your ceremony including bridal party and some family group shots. I would typically plan on one hour for portraits (first look or not) and if you do opt for a first look, I usually take about 15 minutes for a couple of post ceremony bliss pics.
