Lisa & Shawn ~ Waimanalo Beach

I love photographing at Waimanalo Bay Park. They water is always a beautiful azure blue, the clouds in the sky always offer a beautiful canvas as a back drop, then you have the mountains off into the distance to complete the surroundings. Lisa & Shawn traveled in from California with their family and friends to help celebrate their wedding.

We started out at Bellows to meet Lisa & Shawn. Since it’s a military base, Shinji and I had to get clearance…

Then we headed over to where Lisa was getting ready.

sometimes your assistant wants in on the action too…

After we knew Shawn was off to the ceremony, Lisa wanted to continue getting ready outside… where it was way cooler

It’s up to me to remind families that I’m there to capture the emotion and love, I asked Lisa’s dad to give his daughter a little advice and kiss her before she went off to be married…

O.K. so I asked her mom too.

I asked Lisa’s dad to kiss her one last time…

Lisa and Shawn wrote out their vows to each other, it was so touching…

Then it was off to the ceremony at the Ko’olau Golf Course. Another favorite because of the mountains in the background.

Very charming! I love the picture in black & white, of the bride & groom dancing at the reception and some bubbles are flying around! And the shot of their cake is great!

Wow, your a very talented photographer. Your photo right after the ring is very impressive. Your outdoor shots have amazing colors. And the stylized shots you made from “post-processing” is something I want to learn how to do.

What a beautiful wedding and you captured it wonderfully. That is what it’s all about being a wedding photographer. Wish we had skies like that here in Philadelphia.
